Workshops
We love making things from natural materials and run a wide range of workshops. They can be delivered in a half-day session, or can be expanded to a full-day woodland wellbeing experience.
Perfect for team building, a zen-hen do, work day out, birthday celebrations, or just a great excuse to get a group of your favourite people together to try something new.
We’ve delivered workshops in various locations across the city, including cosy indoor settings and some unique outdoor venues where we can put a fire on. If you don’t have a venue in mind, we can hold the sessions at our special forest school home in Pollok Country Park.
Try-Stick Carving
This is a nifty way of learning a few different types of cut, and your final stick will serve as a reminder of all the different techniques you learn.
We will provide the materials and knives, and even if you’re a total novice, will teach you how to make a stop cut, make notches, cut a hole in your stick without a drill, and chamfer and peel. Sounds fancy? It’s not, but it’s a really fun way to get into carving.

Willow Wreaths
Often delivered in November or December this is a wonderful way to connect with the turning of the year, and bring a bit of greenery into your home.
We make willow bases using only natural biodegradable materials so that you can use your willow base year round. Summer wreaths are beautiful too and a wonderful way to keep the practice of connecting with nature year round.
Greenery, pine cones, willow and ribbons, tools and materials are provided but participants are asked to bring any decorations - elves, snowmen, candy canes - they’d like to add to their own wreath.

Fire Strikers
There’s something very bushcraft about these fire strikers that people go crazy for. You’ll get the chance to to use some simple hand tools and can make a couple of strikers, so perfect if you want to make a unique present for a friend. In forest school we make them with long handles so our participants with mobility difficulties can handle them and make sparks of their own.
This session is best delivered outdoors with a fire area for practising using the strikers afterwards, and Sophie can show you some top fire building tips at the same time.

Max 15 people

Best delivered outdoors in a venue with a fire bowl/pit (or we can bring one)
